Public Data-Use Documentation
How CampaignBench is requesting limited, read-only Reddit Data API access for internal editorial research across CampaignBench-owned content properties.
Current status
CampaignBench is seeking explicit written approval for a commercial internal-use workflow. Reddit Data API access is not active in production, and this page does not represent that access has been granted.
CampaignBench is an independent owner-operator business that publishes and maintains content across CampaignBench-owned websites. The requested workflow would use a limited set of public Reddit listing signals to identify recurring questions and topics worth covering for those audiences.
This is a commercial internal-use request because the resulting editorial work supports owned content properties that may participate in affiliate or other monetization programs. CampaignBench is disclosing that business context directly rather than presenting the workflow as personal, academic, or non-commercial use.
The requested workflow is read-only. It does not post, comment, vote, send messages, moderate communities, or take actions on behalf of Reddit users.
Post ID, title, subreddit, permalink, publication time, listing source, and public score or comment-count signals when those fields are available.
The planned workflow does not require usernames, profiles, private messages, private or quarantined community content, deleted content, or off-platform identifiers.
The proposed pilot allowlist is limited to r/femalefashionadvice, r/SkincareAddiction, r/frugalfemalefashion, r/Scams, r/AgingParents, and r/Parenting.
One scheduled daily run would make no more than three public hot-listing requests, capped at 20 posts per request, using only the exact approved subreddit allowlist and an identifying CampaignBench user agent.
A limited candidate set for the day rather than bulk collection or a historical archive of Reddit content.
Public titles and limited listing metadata would be checked against the topic categories and quality rules for CampaignBench-owned sites.
Off-topic, duplicate, low-signal, sensitive, or unsuitable candidates are excluded before editorial processing.
Selected signals may be processed by an internal automated editorial workflow to produce a new topic brief and an original article draft.
The output is a new publisher-authored treatment of the general topic. Reddit posts are not republished, quoted by default, or presented as CampaignBench content.
Drafts pass configured originality, safety, duplication, and site-specific quality checks before they can be published.
Original informational content for CampaignBench-owned properties, with no automated activity performed on Reddit.
The site-wide Privacy Policy describes how this planned workflow fits CampaignBench's broader data-handling practices.
This request is designed against Reddit's Responsible Builder Policy and Data API Terms.
